The cast consists of four women very familiar to the Watertown Players’ stage: Lisa Steffl plays Randa Covington-a perfectionist and workaholic, Linda Ewert plays Dot Haigler-recently widowed in a new city, Diane Schultz plays Marlafaye Mosley-a good ol’ Texas gal forging a new career as a liquor rep, and Jennie Ortega as Jinx Jenkins-a beauty bar assistant who imagines a next step as a life coach. They have a commitment to and support for local theatres across the nation, and recently marked the milestone of 50,000 performances of their writing collaborations. The Jones, Hope, Wooten team have written for stage, TV and screen. So raise your glass to these strong Southern women and their fierce embrace of life and say “Cheers!” to this joyful and surprisingly touching comedy written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten. Together, they discover lasting friendships and a renewed determination to live in the moment-and most importantly, realize it’s never too late to make new old friends. Over the course of six months, filled with laughter, hilarious misadventures, and the occasional liquid refreshment, these middle-aged women successfully bond and find the confidence to jumpstart their new lives.
